The data controller is Hospitality Culture Institute, the organizer of Franchise Expo Bucharest. For any privacy-related request you can reach us at contact@franchisebucharest.com or by phone at +40 731 144 133.

• Registration data: name, email, phone, company, role, country, areas of interest, dietary preferences.
• Franchisor / sponsor profiles: brand name, sector, contact person, logo, public profile information.
• Meeting & session data: reserved sessions, 1:1 meeting bookings, check-in timestamps.
• Payment data: for Premium / sponsorship tiers, processed by our payment provider (Stripe). We do not store full card details.
• Technical data: IP address, device/browser type, basic usage analytics required to operate and secure the platform.

• To process your registration and grant access to the Event.
• To manage agenda reservations, 1:1 meetings, badges, and check-in.
• To communicate practical information about the Event (schedule, logistics, important updates).
• To process payments and issue invoices.
• To send marketing communications about future editions — only with your explicit consent, and you can unsubscribe at any time.
• To comply with our legal obligations and to ensure the security of the platform.

We process personal data based on (a) performance of a contract (your registration to the Event), (b) our legitimate interests in organizing a safe and effective event, (c) your consent for marketing communications, and (d) compliance with legal obligations (accounting, tax, security).

We only share personal data with parties that help us deliver the Event:

• Hosting and database providers operating under data processing agreements.
• Payment processors (Stripe) for paid registrations and sponsorships.
• Email and notification providers used for transactional messages.
• Franchisors you explicitly book a 1:1 meeting with — they will see your name, company, and contact details to prepare the meeting.
• Authorities, where required by law.

We do not sell your personal data and we do not share it with advertisers.

The Event may be photographed and recorded for editorial, archival, and promotional purposes. By attending, you acknowledge that images and recordings of the venue may be captured. If you do not want to appear in promotional materials, contact us in advance and we will do our best to accommodate.

We keep registration and meeting data for as long as necessary to operate the current edition and a reasonable period after, for accounting, dispute resolution, and to invite returning participants to future editions. Financial records are kept according to applicable law.

• Right to erasure (“right to be forgotten”) where applicable.
• Right to restrict or object to processing.

• Right to withdraw consent at any time, where processing is based on consent.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via the website or by email to registered participants.
